i LOVE it. i am so glad i found this show... or maybe that it found me. i'm not a big TV watcher... in fact this is the only one i watch, no lie. so needless to say, i've honestly been a bit shocked at how many hours i've dedicated thus far to taking in each episode 1, 2, 3 times... i LOVE it :)

sprechen sie deutsch?
sorry it's been a week since i've written! thank goodness for 1 of my faithful readers who reminded of me of that fact...
i found this recent news to be very disheartening. for most american graduates, the coming and going of different courses of study at colleges & universities across the country does not affect us nowadays and therefore we may not keep up. however, many of you speak (or understand) a foreign language and so realize the effect this has on how we view the world around us.
the other day i had a conversation with a german friend about the discontinuation of the european studies program at her alma mater. it looks like even the most reputable schools in the U.S. cannot escape the same dilemma.

child of the 80's
every child should have grown up in the 80's. if you did, you know what i'm talking about... and if you didn't, just go ask someone who did. i know i'm getting old. and age is just a number so i don't really mind, but how come rockin tunes like this just don't exist anymore?

gone are cruel summers and manic mondays... now we can't enough of soldier boys and gold diggers. matthew wilder, thanks for the memories.

10 days past easter
here i am. back with my brushes, paint and nothing but a clean canvas... i'm sensing that this blog life is going to be more than i ever dreamed it could be.
so, this morning i was listening to a CD on the way to work and was so touched by one of the phrases that i had to get it down somewhere.
"you asked your son to carry this,
the heavy cross, our weight of sin."
thanks for being such a wonderful audience.

first of the month
so it's april fool's and the joke's on me...i have decided to represent with my very own blog. believe it! i know i know, i struggle to keep in touch with friends / family and don't even read much anymore. many of you are thinking..."stefanie, how is your procrastinator self gonna keep a blog?!" well, i'm here to prove the masses wrong (or maybe not, but time will tell). what i can guarantee is that inconsistency will rear its ugly head and daily posts are just not an option. but that way, you'll just have to check in to see how i'm doing...love and peace out folks.
